The functional principle of measuring the DW-S flowmeters is based on two ultrasonic sensors, which are located in opposite positions. The sound delay time depends on the flow rate. Both sensors work alternately as a transmitter and receiver. The delay time difference is proportional to the flow rate. The DW-S flow meter measurement system operates, unlike other ultrasonic measuring systems, parallel to the fluid flow. This system provides high accuracy, excellent dynamics and the ability to measure very high flow rates without reducing the cross-section in a very compact design.
